Joe Sikowitz

Executive Director

I joined FLO in October 2018. Prior to this position, I worked as an academic librarian at both Champlain College and Roxbury Community College. In my free time, I like to hike, jog, play chess, and take my hound dog to the park. I am also an avid reader, and enjoy history, philosophy, literature, cosmology, astronomy, and lots of science fiction.

Projects Coordinator Librarian

I joined FLO in 2018 as a Library Services Assistant and then transitioned to full time staff in May 2020. I'm a graduate of the school of Library & Information Sciences at Simmons University with a concentration in technology. I hope to bring my LIS skills and knowledge to work with me to help support the organization. When I'm not working I love to study Japanese, bake, and watch movies.

I have been at FLO since 2006. Prior to FLO, I worked at Northeastern University as Head of Access Services, and at Harvard University and Lotus Development Corporation as a systems librarian. In my spare time, I like to hike and cycle. I’m excited to be nearing the end of a long-term project, a complete reading of Marcel Proust’s “In Search of Lost Time."
