This group is founded and managed by Fenway Libraries Online (FLO). Professionals involved Library and Information Science outside of FLO are welcome and encouraged to join. Our focus is on academic libraries in the Boston-area. This community of interest will focus on Collection Management and the development and maintenance of print and electronic library collections.

Academic ePublishing Symposium

For those of who were interested in the panel discussion regarding the eBook Library (EBL) at our previous meeting, this upcoming event will continue to explore eResources and ePublishing. This event is sponsored by the Massachusetts Library System (MLS).
Join library and information science professionals throughout the Northeast for this lively panel presentation and discussion on eBook and eJournal publishing. Panelists from MIT, Springer-Nature and Taylor & Francis along with a moderator from BiblioLabs will discuss the current state of ePublishing and potential futures.

The Challenges of Selecting: from Specialized

Libraries to Statewide Sharing

Join us for the inaugural Collection Management Community of Interest event at Fenway Libraries Online. This event will feature a presentation on collecting for specialized libraries from Joanne Doucette, the Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Henrietta DeBenedictis Library, at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

The second half of the event will feature a panel discussion with some members of the All-FLO Collection Development Committee (ACDC) from Fenway Libraries Online. ACDC will discuss the challenging process of developing the academic content profile for the Commonwealth eBook Collections (CeC). Hear the trials and successes of from both ends of the collection management spectrum, and get a chance to ask your collection management questions to our panelists.
