Today a casual going-away reception was held for the Wheelock library staff in the Fenway Room at Emmanuel College. The Wheelock College library joined FLO as one of the original seven founding libraries in 1987 and its staff have been valued members of the consortium since. During the reception, attendees spoke of how the Wheelock library was an innovative force and praised its librarians for cultivating an atmosphere of collaboration in the Boston library community.
Wheelock College Library will close its doors on May 31 with the acquisition of Wheelock by Boston University, effective June 1st.
